'User Testing / Open Door Roll' Out Phase - Explained
Hi all!
Now that the move in has begun (woo! ) it's time to start addressing and clarifying our first stage of the shop's roll out and opening! Instead of the typical business model (one in which the pricing is static from the start), we're starting operations under a 'testing' pretext. Our goal being three fold;
- To get people in, try it out free of charge and to understand the DIY model (with a TBD hourly/day/weekly cap)
- Break the stereotype of our shop as a normal DIY shop but as a community driven one (our toughest challenge)
- Work with the community to set pricing, benefits and structure
If you haven't seen our last couple of updates or if you're just finding about us, this may be a bit confusing. To clarify, our business will not have bay pricing from the start;we want to work with the community in setting our bay pricing model and determine how we'll structure our membership cost and benefits for the shop. That means our bay time will be free for the duration of the testing phase and memberships will not be offered (both will start directly after the testing phase). You'll be able to bring in your motorcycle and start tinkering, repairing and rebuilding free of charge. The only planned costs right now are for parts (if you order through us, you'll always have the option to order yourself or bring in your own parts) and the classes/workshops we roll out with.
To find the latest information and to schedule your session please go to www.motogaragechi.com/bay-schedule/. Here on the forum you can voice your ideas and give feedback to help us shape the shop! We expect this roll out to be dynamic so I suggest checking back often!
Thank you,
Matt Milford
